Technically improved, the new Ranger VI VR maintains the same wood combination, with Mahogany for the back and sides and Spruce for the top. The onboard preamplifier is the Fishman Sonitone: the system controls the piezoelectric pickup and offers Volume and Tone controls. A retro look, thanks to the revamped pickguard that maintains the typical shape of the past. The first edition of this guitar takes us back to 1962 when Eko decided to produce a series of folk guitars based on the popular Dreadnought shape, very fashionable in America at that time. The first 6-string guitar was named J54 and immediately achieved success for its playability and price.
