This is also due to its discrete analog oscillators. The OB-6 has \u003cstrong\u003etwo VCOs\u003c\/strong\u003e, a \u003cstrong\u003ewhite-noise\u003c\/strong\u003e generator, and a \u003cstrong\u003esub-oscillator\u003c\/strong\u003e. The latter plays an octave lower than oscillator 1 and produces a square waveform. Each of these generators has a dedicated volume control in the Mixer section.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eVCO 1 can generate 2 waveforms: sawtooth and pulse with variable width. VCO 2, on the other hand, generates 3 waveforms: triangle, sawtooth, and pulse, also with variable width. Both oscillators can continuously change waveforms, allowing us to obtain various nuances that will arise during the transition between one waveform and another.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOscillator 1 can be synchronized with oscillator 2 to create sharp yet harmonically rich sounds (Hard Sync). Oscillator 2 is accompanied by a \u003cstrong\u003eDetune\u003c\/strong\u003e potentiometer to vary the pitch within a ¼ tone range. The switch called \u003cstrong\u003eLow Freq\u003c\/strong\u003e is used to trigger the generation of very low frequencies and is therefore useful as an LFO or in creating drones.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSince the OB-6 has extremely stable VCOs, the \u003cstrong\u003eDetune\u003c\/strong\u003e potentiometer adds a random detuning to the oscillators to emulate the typical instability of vintage. Use it to create full and imposing basses and leads by dedicating all six voices to a single note (12 oscillators per key!). A filter inspired by the \u003cb\u003eS.E.M. \u003c\/b\u003e(Synthesizer Expander Module) project, which was the first synthesizer created by \u003cb\u003eTom Oberheim\u003c\/b\u003e in 1974. This synthesizer's filter aroused considerable interest at the time because it was the first to provide a sound different from others on the market (Moog and Arp). Reverbs, delays \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"PT\"\u003e(standard and BBD), chorus, flanger, phase shifter, and faithful reproductions of \u003cb\u003eTom Oberheim\u003c\/b\u003e's ring modulator. Both have a \u003cstrong\u003e24-bit\/48kHz\u003c\/strong\u003e resolution and with the true-bypass function, they guarantee the purity of the analog path. The effects are divided into set A and B and are applied in series one after the other. A sixth \"hidden\" one can be created by choosing Random and setting the frequency speed to maximum. While a sequence is playing, you can play over it with the rest of the available polyphony. You can create polyphonic sequences and synchronize them with an external MIDI clock. The programmable arpeggiator of the \u003cstrong\u003eSequential OB-6\u003c\/strong\u003e can be configured in the classic Up, Down, Up + Down, Random successions, and in the order in which we play the notes. Synchronizable to an external \u003cstrong\u003eMIDI Clock\u003c\/strong\u003e or to the internal Master Clock with Tap Tempo (BPM control and display), the arpeggiator also provides configurable Re-latch and Sustain functions.
