The set comes with two tension levels and consists of Nylgut® trebles with a slightly different formulation than usual (to achieve the greatest possible singability, which is the main goal of this set) while for the basses (which are silver-plated copper wound with a red core), called ‘Rayon’ by Aquila, a balance between metal and core was sought to recreate a warm and percussive sound, similar to the natural silk basses of the past.
