Aquila Corde's revolutionary approach (never introduced before) involves increasing the density of each individual plain string in order to compensate for this acoustic loss. By proceeding in this way, the variation in diameter between the plain strings is significantly reduced. The instrument therefore sounds more immediate, clear, powerful, and extraordinarily homogeneous across all strings and in all positions on the fretboard, especially those beyond the 12th fret. The intonation of the fretted string is better thanks to the smaller variation between diameters. Until now, this result has only been achieved by Harps where, in order to limit the problem described above, the vibrating length of the progressively lower strings has been continuously increased.
