The controls are Volume, Compression, a switch to activate an input buffer, and a switch that provides three Release times: Fast, Medium, and Slow. Similar to the 1176, the increase in the compression ratio is determined by increasing the gain of the signal entering the gain stage: in practice, the higher the gain, the more the compressor increases its action. All this translates into compression that is transparent and smooth at low levels, while becoming more aggressive as the amount of compression/gain increases. For the same reason, increasing compression also results in an increase in volume. For release control, I opted for fixed values rather than a potentiometer, to make choosing a particular compression character easier and more immediate. The values were chosen after numerous tests, at the end of which three settings emerged victorious: the slow one is excellent for full rhythms, the medium provides an excellent flourish for single notes, while the fast one makes it possible to even out note attack. Compression is more easily perceptible with the slow setting, and becomes less intrusive as the Release shortens. I chose to include a switchable BJT buffer, to provide the musician with two different modes: a dark one (without buffer) and a bright one (with buffer). The internal trimmer relates to FET calibration. The standard setting I chose is obtained by calibrating the trimmer so that, with compression at zero and volume at maximum, when the effect is activated, a slight increase in volume is obtained compared to the bypass position. However, I do not recommend adjusting the trimmer from the standard setting, as small variations produce large and potential

Description
The Green Spot is a tremolo based on a phase-shift LFO, capable of producing, in my opinion, a much more natural and pleasing modulation compared to other LFO architectures. Great care and time have been spent choosing the right transistors and capacitor values for the phase-shift cells to generate a slightly asymmetrical waveform. The controls are Volume, Depth, and Speed, a switch for Fast and Slow oscillation, and one for Hard and Soft waveforms. The Green Spot also features an internal DIP switch that allows selecting between low and high input impedance: the former produces a soft and mysterious tone, while the latter, in addition to a slight volume boost, generates a more crystalline and detailed tone. The standard setting, however, is low impedance. The Volume control is associated with a booster that provides a gain of about 17 dB, thus eliminating the common problem of tremolos that "eat" volume. This boost stage has been designed not to be completely transparent and neutral but to give the pedal a well-defined character. With the Depth control at zero, it is also possible to use the pedal as a simple booster. The soft waveform obviously needs higher Depth settings than the hard wave to achieve the same effect depth. The overall effect is so distinctive that, with particular settings, it can be compared to a vibe. With high depth, particular choppy sounds are obtained.

Description
The Purple Spot is an overdrive based on a single amplification stage using a Class A biased Germanium transistor. The controls are Pre Gain and Post Gain (particularly interactive), plus a switch that selects between full range and low cut modes. The typical Germanium sound is evident, with very present and particularly juicy harmonics. You can go from a slight crunch to a soft distortion bordering on fuzz. The low cut mode is particularly interesting for solos or penetrating rhythms, and the present harmonics make the lack of bass less bothersome. The pedal uses a single selected PNP Germanium transistor; however, the power supply is the "Boss" type with negative ground, so it can be powered along with the vast majority of pedals on the market. However, do not try to use poor quality power supplies: despite the oversized filtering I have included, you might encounter noise problems. Inside the pedal there is a trimmer that can be adjusted to change the operating point of the transistor and thus the overall sound of the pedal. You can experiment at your leisure by adjusting the trimmer in both rotation directions: within the range where you hear the pedal producing sound, any setting is possible! The Purple Spot is particularly suitable for saturating the front end of small tube amplifiers.

Description
The Yell-o Spot is a clean booster based on a single BJT transistor stage. Very simple in its structure and controls. The Volume knob provides a boost of approximately 18dB. The switch inserts a low-pass filter into the signal path. The tone is robust but respectful of the instrument, characterized by a slight compression on the low frequencies – it reminds me of Dick Dale. Personally, I don't particularly like the type of tone that many of the buffers currently on the market produce: the absurdly high input impedance of these devices, while allowing the sound of the pickups to reach the amp unaltered, with all the potential pedals in between, generates a tone that is too "hifi" for guitar for my acoustic preferences. I am clearly accustomed to sound degradation! Therefore, the input buffer of the Yell-o Spot has a significantly lower input impedance than the norm (though sufficient to isolate the pickups from high losses) and the switch allows activating a sort of Dark Mode that further eliminates some of those "hifi" frequencies mentioned above. In normal mode, however, the sound coming out of the buffer is unaltered and goes directly to the amplification stage: as Anglophones would say, "crisp and clear." I find that the best placement for the Yell-o is at the end of the pedal chain, but everyone is obviously free to use it as they wish. The Yell-o Spot performs best when powered at 18V.

Description
The Red Spot is an overdrive based on a single operational amplifier stage, very transparent and extremely respectful of the dynamics set by the musician. Increasing the Gain increases the distortion to levels that border on distortion territory. All soft and fat.The tone is a simple variable low-pass filter, while the Boost switch increases the total gain, subtly but clearly audibly coloring the sound.The pedal is extremely dynamic and immediate, the pick attack is precise and defined, and the spectrum is complete, with no mid bump.The Clipping switch introduces symmetrical clipping into the circuit, acting in the operational amplifier's feedback loop, thus making the pedal softer and more manageable as the gain increases.

Description
The White Spot is a distortion pedal capable of delivering numerous tonal nuances, also thanks to the ability to change the integrated circuit. In fact, an additional integrated circuit is available in the package: the standard one is marked with an M (Modern) while the other is marked with a V (Vintage). The controls are Volume, Gain, Tone, a switch for boost and one for clipping. There are three amplification stages, two take place in the integrated circuit and one via a transistor. The Gain control acts on the first stage while clipping is positioned in the second stage. The boost switch bypasses the tone section for part of the signal output from the second stage, consequently when the switch is activated the tone control will be slightly less effective but the overall timbre will be richer and more aggressive. The clipping is light but absolutely perceptible, rounding and compressing the signal just enough to make the pick attacks uniform. The included integrated circuits provide different timbres: the modern one offers more gain for a compact and full sound, while the vintage one is less distorted and freer. The choice is yours. The White Spot is a decidedly rock pedal and will be able to provide enough drive, volume, and timbre to make its mark in any situation.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1036/3633/6985/collections/a7ea69b7cab3a6f8aaf8fd7e9d1d4905ea5e9f87_s.png?v=1779268755
